Privacy policy

What we do with the details you send us through this website.

Last updated: 18 September 2026

Who runs this website

This website belongs to CES Plumbing & Heating, a plumbing business working in Leeds and the surrounding areas. We are the people who decide what happens to any information you send through it.

You can reach us by email at james@tarkawebdesign.com. We work out of our vans rather than from a shop or an office that is open to the public, so there is no counter to call in at; our current contact details, including any postal address and phone number, are always on our contact page.

What we collect, and why

If you fill in the contact form on this site, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to give us one, and whatever you write in the message. We ask for those things for one reason: so that we can read what you need and reply to you.

Your message is saved on this website so that we can find it again, and it is also emailed to us so that we see it straight away. We keep it until we delete it — we go through old enquiries from time to time and clear out the ones we no longer need. If you would like yours removed sooner, ask us and we will do it.

The contact form is the only form on this site. If we ever add another, we will say here what it collects and why.

Who else handles it

This website is hosted for us in the United Kingdom by British Web Design Ltd, who built it. They look after the servers it runs on and they deliver the email it sends. That means they handle the details you send us, but only on our instructions and only so that the website and its email keep working. They do not use your details for anything of their own.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file a website leaves in your browser. This site sets two that every visitor needs: one that keeps track of your visit as you move between pages, and one that stops the contact form being submitted by somebody else on your behalf. Neither of them follows you anywhere else, and the site cannot work safely without them.

We also count visits to the site, but that counting is done without cookies and without identifying anybody.

If we ever switch on Google Analytics or an advertising tag, a banner will ask you first. Nothing is set in your browser until you accept, and if you say no, nothing is set at all. Whichever you choose, your answer is remembered in your browser so that you are not asked again on every visit.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to us holding it at all. Email us and we will sort it out, and we will not charge you for it.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk. We would rather you came to us first, so that we have the chance to put it right.

Changes to this policy

We may change this policy from time to time — if we start collecting something new, or if the way the site works changes. The date at the top always tells you when it was last updated.
